JAKARTA, INDONESIA — An independent research study and project has officially commenced in Jakarta and Hong Kong to examine in depth the life dynamics and challenges faced by Indonesian migrant workers in Hong Kong. This preliminary draft process serves as the foundational step for an upcoming book titled The Blue Contract Chronicles: Existence, Stigma, and Reality of Indonesian Migrant Workers in Hong Kong.

The initial data collection and field observation process is being conducted collaboratively with a research colleague holding a bachelor's degree (S-1) who is currently residing and working in Hong Kong. This early synergy is designed to build a strong research methodology grounded in empirical experience, objectively capturing the socio-economic realities of migrant workers up close.

Initial Focus of Data Collection and Analysis

In this early stage of research, the main focus is directed toward mapping several critical aspects frequently experienced by workers on the ground, including:

Commitment to Research Ethics

Given that this project is in its early stages (on-progress), all interviews, observations, and drafting processes are being conducted under strict research ethics standards. The confidentiality of informants and related parties is fully protected to ensure that all gathered narratives remain objective, secure, and ethical.

The initiation of The Blue Contract Chronicles book project is expected to develop into a comprehensive literary work, offering a fresh and honest perspective for the public, academics, and stakeholders alike.
